Fairfax

I talked to my mom and she said I was missing a place we lived--Fairfax. I remember some things there. Waiting for the bus at the end of the street, eating mulberries from a tree at that stop. An open field across from the house, and someone with cherry trees. I had my first sleepover there a few houses down the street and got homesick. My dad came and got me. The neighbors were older and their house smelled, I think like mothballs. I didn't like it at all.
Also in this house I had my first terrible turtle bite; rotten thing bit me in the skin in between my thumb and forefinger... and he wouldn't let go for the longest time. I also remember stairs to an attic. I had Madame Alexander Dolls there; that was the last house I saw them in. I think I'd gotten most of them from my Texas grandmother Louise Gaynor.

That is the extent of my memories of living in Fairfax.
